I am trying to transfer my HP Care Pack and am having difficulty. I bought the HP care pack when I originally bought this PC, but the model was defective so I ended up returning it for the same model at Best Buy under their no questions asked policy. Now I have issues with my replacement and need to use the Care Pack, but it is tied to the old PC serial number! So I need to transfer this coverage somehow. I have been calling the phone number 1-800-407-6210 but nobody has answered after multiple hours on hold.
I see that a similar question was answered privately here (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/Transfer-of-hp-care-pack-after-...) so if there is an email or alternative means of contact to resolve this, that would be super helpful
