Hi @max470,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP TrueVision HD Camera is not working on Windows 11, and it was functioning correctly on Windows 10. It may be an issue of driver compatibility or configuration. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:

Steps to Troubleshoot and Resolve Webcam Issues:

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for updates. Sometimes, Microsoft releases patches that fix hardware compatibility issues.

Update Webcam Driver:

  • Go to Device Manager.
  • Expand the Cameras or Imaging devices section.
  • Right-click on your HP TrueVision HD Camera and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
  • If no update is found, you can try downloading the latest driver from the HP Support site by entering your specific laptop or PC model.

Install the Driver in Compatibility Mode:

  • If you have a driver that worked on Windows 10, try installing it in compatibility mode.
  • Right-click the driver setup file, select Properties, then the Compatibility tab.
  • Check Run this program in compatibility mode for: and select Windows 10.
  • Apply the changes and run the installer.

Use HP Support Assistant:

Check HP's Website for Specific Driver:

  • Visit the HP support Official HP® Support and enter the model number of your PC to find specific drivers and software for your webcam.

Restore BIOS Settings:

  • Sometimes resetting the BIOS to its default can resolve hardware recognition issues. Access BIOS by restarting your PC and pressing the F10 key (this may vary depending on your model).

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
