Turn on Laptop while lid is closed using power button on the side does not work.

Hello All,

I am connecting my PC to my TV  via HDMI, I keep the lid closed, because i do not need it. At the end of the day i put to sleep/shutdown my computer. Since my PC has a power button on the side (accessible without opening the lid) i have tried to use it to tuen on my computer while the lid is closed. but it did not work.

Do you know if there is any setting i need to configure this? Thanks

Don't know if this will work, but go in to Settings --> System --> Power and look for what is set for closing the laptop.  It is usually something like turn off or suspend or sleep -- which will then prevent the laptop from turning ON when the lid is closed.

Change it to NOTHING and see if that makes a difference.

Hello WAWood, unfortunately this did not help fix the issue. any other ideas?
