I made the mistake of loading Tweakbit program. I have unistalled it, but every now and again I get a message screen showing in the bottom left of the screen. I could live with that but it seems to be stopping the HP updates to my laptop.
Is there anyway of removing Teakbit program totally from my laptop?

Sorry for the delay. I have been on a few days holiday.
Yes it seems to have worked. I haven't seen the Tweakbit message on screen. I did have a moment of worry after removing hitmanpro. The laptop would not start up, but after some desperate pushing of function buttons it did and now everything has performed well for 2 or 3 days.
Thank you for your advice

Hi,
First uninstall any programs which could be affiliated with tweakbit.
Next we are going to use two antimalware programs to try to remove tweakbit completely.
First download Malwarebytes anti-malware (free or premium 30 day trial) from here:
Run the program and let it update. Scan the computer and remove any Malware found (when clicking on remove wait till the program tells you that all has been removed). Next reboot the computer and run the program again, go to tab History and delete all the files in Quarantene. Now uninstall Malwarebytes.
Next we are going to use the free trial of Hitmanpro to run a scan on the Computer. So download Hitman pro (free 30 day trial) and install, update and run the scan. Remove all Malware found on Computer. After finishing uninstall the program.
https://www.hitmanpro.com/en-us/hmp.aspx
This should remove the program and all its parts. However we are also going to clean the Browser because there might be some extensions added by the program.
So, for Chrome click on the three points in upper right corner and click on settings. Scroll down to bottom and click on advanced, scroll down and click on Reset.
For Firefox here is a guide:

Internet explorer:

Let me know if it helps,
David
