Hi @Rekou,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Having multiple ways to enable battery saver mode on your HP Spectre X360 16 Inch 2-in-1 Laptop gives you flexibility and convenience in managing your device's power consumption. Let's delve into the differences and whether they can be combined.

  • HP MyHP App Battery Saver: This feature is likely specific to HP laptops and provided through the MyHP app. It might offer additional customization options or settings tailored specifically for HP hardware. For example, it could optimize power settings based on the Spectre X360's unique components and configurations.
  • Windows Battery Saver: Windows provides its own battery-saver feature as part of the operating system. This functionality is more generic and applies to all Windows-compatible devices, not just HP laptops. It adjusts system settings like display brightness, background activity, and notifications to conserve battery life.

Combining these two options might be possible, but it depends on how they're implemented. Some possibilities.

  • Independent Activation: You could use both the HP MyHP app battery saver and Windows battery saver separately. This might be useful if you want to fine-tune power settings using both HP-specific optimizations and generic Windows adjustments.
  • Integrated Activation: It's possible that activating one battery-saver option could automatically trigger the other. For instance, enabling battery saver in the MyHP app could also activate Windows battery saver, or vice versa. This would streamline the process for users who want a single toggle to optimize power settings.
  • Customization: If both options are independent, you might be able to customize settings in each to complement each other. For example, you could use the MyHP app to optimize hardware-specific power settings while relying on Windows battery saver for more general adjustments.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
