Thank you Manjunath... I was having the same problem and it was driving me crazy. Just upgraded to Win 7 (32) and couldn't seem to resolve the issue.... Oh it just happened again... I deleted all Keyboard and mouse drivers and it appears to be better than before but still happening... Installed touchpad software as well... Any more ideas???

I was also having this madding problem using an HP laptop, under Windows 7.
I was told to download "Touchfreeze" (without the quote marks) and it worked, with no other thing to do. The good guy who developed this solution ask for a donation - it was well, well, well worth it.
It appartently good for any brand of laptop that is having this problem, at least using Microsoft Windows. That **bleep** Microsoft must be aware of this problem but doesn't seem to care.

After two years of pulling my hair out, finally found this caring person who has taken the trouble to sove the problem.
By pressing "here" and downloading HEY PRESTO! problem solved. I serched on my HP desk top it directing me to this site. My problem was on a Dell lap top, little worried at first as it seemed to be an HP down load and thought it could creat a problem but no JOB DONE. Cannot thank you enough it works perfectly. I have the same problem, but I do not have a touchpad. In fact, while typing this message, it backtracked, removing the entire message. This same thing happened 3 times this morning while typing an email message. Please...how do I resolve this issue?
