Tried hooking up docking station/Hub with 2 4K HDMI outputs. Could only get 1 ext monitor to work, seemed only one HDMI port would work. We then bought a single HDMI port USB hub and could not get it to work. We are plugging into the USB-C port. Both monitors are good and work when we plug them directly into the HDMI port on the laptop.
Bought a 32" moinitor and hooked it up using ta single HDMI port Hub and the monitor woudl not work, Plkugeed the monitor directly into the laptop HDMI and it works.

I think it is letter L ( lower case; not letter i nor number 1), Its specs

I don't know why HP does not list USB-C port on its specs above but manual says it only has a hopeless USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C (supports data transfer) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to
- Charge your machine,
- Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter (some hubs may have builtin chip to support this)
If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only-total 3), you can use
- Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
- Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as
Other option: (USB-A) dock: https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05357751
