Hi, I have a generic gaming keyboard from 'Porodo Gaming'. It was working fine until suddenly it stopped working. I tried everything from opening it up and reconnecting everything. I plugged it into an old laptop i had laying around and it was working, I think its a driver issue but the problem is, I can't find any drivers for this keyboard.
If anyone has any links to drivers compatible with this specific keyboard or universal drivers, please reply.
Thank you
Aakash

Hi @AakashMohan,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're unable to find specific drivers for your Porodo Gaming keyboard, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
Check Device Manager:
- Connect the keyboard to your laptop and navigate to Device Manager.
- Look for any devices with a yellow exclamation mark or under the "Keyboards" section.
- Right-click on the keyboard device and select "Update driver" to see if Windows can find a suitable driver automatically.
Compatibility Mode:
- If the keyboard previously worked on your laptop, you can try running the driver installer in compatibility mode.
- Right-click on the driver installer, select "Properties," go to the "Compatibility" tab, and check the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select a previous version of Windows.
Windows Update:
- Ensure your Windows operating system is up to date by checking for updates in the Settings menu.
- Sometimes, Windows Update can automatically install drivers for new hardware.
Third-Party Driver Update Software:
- Be cautious with third-party driver update software, but some tools may help identify and install missing drivers. However, always ensure you're downloading from a reputable source.
Try Another USB Port:
- Occasionally, USB ports can experience issues. Try plugging the keyboard into different USB ports on your laptop to see if that resolves the problem.
System Restore:
- If the keyboard was working previously and stopped suddenly, you can try performing a system restore to revert your system back to a point where the keyboard was functioning correctly.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible there may be a hardware problem with your laptop's USB ports or with the keyboard itself.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
