Hi @Jonali,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I understand you have an issue with your USB port not working after updating your OS to Windows 11 version 24H2. I understand how frustrating this can be. Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to help resolve this issue.
1. Check Power Management Settings:
Since the affected USB port was previously energized even when the PC was off, the update may have changed the power settings.
- Right-click the Start button > Device Manager.
- Expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers.
- Right-click the affected USB Root Hub or USB device > Properties.
- Go to the Power Management tab.
- Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
- Click OK and Restart your PC.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
