Hi @Arun160,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing a couple of different issues with your laptop. Let's address each one:

1. Brightness Increasing Automatically

This issue could be related to settings or hardware problems. Here are some troubleshooting steps:

Check Automatic Brightness Settings

Windows:

  1. Go to Settings > System > Display.
  2. Look for a setting called "Change brightness automatically when lighting changes" or something similar. If it’s enabled, try turning it off.

Mac:

  1. Go to System Preferences > Displays.
  2. Uncheck "Automatically adjust brightness" if it's checked.

Update or Reinstall Display Drivers

Windows:

  1. Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Display adapters, right-click on your display driver, and select Update driver.
  3. Follow the prompts to search automatically for updated driver software.

Mac: macOS handles drivers automatically, so make sure your system is up to date by going to System Preferences > Software Update.

Check for Interfering Software

Sometimes third-party software can interfere with brightness settings. Ensure there are no apps or utilities that might be adjusting the brightness.

Hardware Issues

If the problem persists, there could be an issue with your laptop’s hardware. In this case, contacting the laptop’s customer support might be necessary.

2. Help Page Opening Automatically in Browser

This issue could be due to a variety of factors such as malware, browser settings, or even hardware problems. Here’s how to troubleshoot:

Check for Malware

Windows:

  1. Run a full scan with your antivirus software. If you don’t have one, consider using Windows Defender (search for Windows Security in the Start menu and select Virus & threat protection).

Browser Extensions and Settings

Disable Extensions: Some browser extensions might cause unwanted behavior.

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Go to the extensions/add-ons section and disable any suspicious or unnecessary extensions.

Reset Browser Settings:

  1. In Google Chrome: Go to Settings > Advanced > Reset and clean up > Restore settings to their original defaults.
  2. In Firefox: Go to Help > Troubleshooting Information > Refresh Firefox.
  3. In Edge: Go to Settings > Reset settings > Restore settings to their default values.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
