Hello, we have exclusively in our laptop fleet HP Probook laptops ranging from 450 G4 to 450 G7's. On all of them, our technicians are unable to install any HP related software, including driver updates, and HP Support Assistant. This is with using domain accounts that have full local administrator access on these laptops. We have also tried using the local, built-in administrator accounts without success. Only accounts which are members of the Domain Admins group are able to currently install any of these HP packages. This is affecting several hundred HP laptops, some on our own build, and some with the default HP build. These are all fully patched, and on current versions of Windows 10. The issue has persisted for well over a year now. We've tried copying the installers to various folders, including the root of the C drive, a temp folder with all security rights opened up, and even from the admin account's personal folders. None will allow any of these to install without receiving the error message "failed to extract cab." The only work-around we currently have is for a domain admin to run the installer first, then copying over the extracted folder contents, but this is far from ideal. Does anyone have any ideas on what else we can try? We do NOT run into this issue with any other software throughout our organization. Only HP-related software. Thanks!

Sorry, but we are unable to assist in this in any way. The usage of domains is a commercial operation and we don't provide support for those in any way in this forum, as we only support end-user consumer functions.
