Hello,
I have just purchased a new HP Envy x360 a few days ago. I was able to use the coolsense at the beginning. However, yesterday after I have upgraded the BIOS and a list of windows update, I realised that I can no longer launch the coolsense.
I tried to uninstall, redownloaded and reinstall the coolsense again, however, I kept on receiving the error messages:
Does anyone know how to fix this problem please? I would be so much appreciated if I can solve this problem and install the coolsense correctly.
Thank you!

Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.
I have gone through your Post and would like to help
May I know how did you install the HP Cool Sense? Did you download it from our HP Website?
Try downloading the HP Cool Sense Technology from this Link: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp65001-65500/sp65424.exe
If the issue persists, please uninstall the HP Cool sense once again and create a new User Account.
Log into the new User Account and then download the HP Cool Sense from this Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers
Steps to create new user account:
-
-
Select the Start button, then select Settings > Accounts > Family & other users > Add someone else to this PC. (Depending on your edition of Windows 10, you may see Other users instead of Family & other users.)
- At the bottom of the page, select I don’t have this person’s sign-in information, and at the bottom of the next page, select Add a user without a Microsoft account.
-
Enter a user name, password, password hint, and then select Next. Note: If you’re using Windows 10, version 1803 and later, you can add security questions—instead of a hint—to your local account to help you reset your password in case you forget it.
-
- To make the new account an administrator account, select Start > Settings > Accounts > Family & other users (or Other users, if you're using Windows 10 Enterprise), and select Change account type. Under Account type, select Administrator > OK. Restart your device and sign in with the new administrator account.
Keep me posted how it goes
Thank you and have a great day 😊
