Envy 6458e

I purchased my HP Envy 6458e printer a few weeks ago, and it says it comes with 6 months of instant ink subscription when I activate HP+. However, when I tried to set up the printer with HP+, it kept showing "cannot obtain printer detail" while the printer is connected to the wifi and capable of printing.

What's worse is when I try to get customer service support, HP system both online and through the phone shows the serial number of the printer as invalid, while I purchased the printer brand new from Sam's and it is 100% legit.

This is super frustrating and I don't know how to get technical support in this situation, wish I could get some advice here.
