I periodically search for Windows updates on my laptop.  Recently an update is shown as being "available" to download and install (2025-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based systems (KB5063060)), however my computer keeps throwing up an error message "Install error - 0x800f0983".  Now today it's showing a different error message: "Install error - 0x800f081f"

How can I fix this issue?

HP Recommended

The only suggestion I can offer would be to try the standalone update from the Microsoft Update Catalog website:

 

You want the first file on the list.
