Hey I have a windows 11 pro. I have been in contact with IT a couple times because my touchpad has been completely unresponsive for 2 weeks now. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers multiple times. However I think that now the driver was completely deleted. So I am asking if there is a way to install that driver. (a box was accidentally checked before uninstalling it and restarting the computer so apparently that permanently deleted the mouse driver.). I was told to contact the manufacturers to get the mouse driver reinstalled. Please assist if you can.

Hi @putri57,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
let's try a couple of steps to see if we can resolve the issue or locate the correct driver for your touchpad.
Method 1: Windows Update
First, let's ensure your system is up to date, as Windows Update can sometimes provide the necessary drivers for your hardware.
- Press the Windows key and type "Check for updates".
- Click on Check for updates in the search results.
- Allow Windows to check for updates and install any available ones. This might include drivers for your touchpad.
Method 2: HP Support Website
You can directly download the touchpad driver for your specific model from the HP Support website. Here's how:
- Go to the HP Support website.
- Enter your product name (HP Pavilion x360 14m-Dy0000) or the product number (23S37AV) in the search box.
- Navigate to the Software and Drivers section.
- Select your operating system version (Windows 11 Pro).
- Look for the touchpad driver under the list of drivers available for download. It might be listed under a category related to "Driver-Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices" or similar.
- Download and install the driver.
Method 3: Device Manager
Since you mentioned the driver might have been permanently deleted, let's try to reinstall it via Device Manager.
- Press the Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
- Look for the touchpad device; it might be under "Mice and other pointing devices" or an "Unknown device" if the driver is completely missing.
- Right-click on it and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If Windows finds a driver, it will install it. Follow any additional prompts.
Method 4: HP Support Assistant
HP provides an application called HP Support Assistant that can automatically find and install drivers for your device.
- If you don't have HP Support Assistant, download it from the HP website.
- Install and open the application.
- Follow the prompts to check for updates and messages. It should automatically find and offer to install missing drivers, including the touchpad driver.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hey Rachel,
Hp support assistant for some reason does not have the version of my OS as an option in drivers. I have windows 11 version 23h2, however it only offers windows 11 and windows 11 version 21H2 as OS versions. I tried all the other options and none of them worked. I would really appreciate further help. Thank you!
