Dear HP Support Community,
I am experiencing an issue with an unidentified device in my Device Manager after a Windows 10 update. The device is listed under "Other devices" as "PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller" and has a yellow exclamation mark.
The hardware ID for this device is: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A131&SUBSYS_8257103C&REV_31
My laptop model is an HP Omen AX010NS.
I have already tried the following steps without success:
- Installing the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver (version 11.7.0.1057 Rev.B) from the HP support page for my model.
- Installing the Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Client driver from the HP support page.
- Using the "Update Driver" option in Device Manager with automatic online search.
- Manually pointing the "Update Driver" to the extracted files of the Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework driver.
The device still appears as unidentified. Could anyone provide guidance on the correct driver for this component? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

Just wanted to say a big thank you! The Intel Chipset Installation Utility (sp148947.exe) worked perfectly and the "PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller" is now properly installed. I appreciate you providing the correct driver information.

You're very welcome.
You were on the right track because normally when you clean install Windows on an Intel PC, there are two instances of the PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller devices showing up in the device manager.
The Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Client driver installs one of the devices and the Intel chipset installation utility installs the other one.
Since you had already tried the Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Client driver, and it didn't work, that left the Intel chipset installation utility as the only other possibility.
