Hello,
I'm setting up a HP ProBook 450 G3 Win 7 64 bit laptop and I've done all the downloads via the HP software but it can't find the following device/driver:
Hardware IDS
PCI\VEN_8086&dev_9d3a&subsys_8101103c&rev_21
PCI\VEN_8086&dev_9d3a&subsys_8101103c
PCI\VEN_8086&dev_9d3a&cc_078000
PCI\VEN_8086&dev_9d3a&cc_0780
Does anyone know what this might be? I've tried searching out this error but the links no longer work.
I'm also getting an accelerometerST.exe application error (0xc000007b) at restart but reinstallling the 3D drive guard software has not solved the error.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
thank you,
APA

Hi. @AC2A : Update the 3D driveguard driver to the latest version...
Receives notifications from the integrated accelerometer and automatically parks the hard drive to reduce the risk of damage if the PC is accidentally dropped.

Please try this:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9D3A:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72501-73000/sp72884.exe

For the unknown driver:

Try the following DriveGuard driver version.

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, I don't know how the HP updating software works, so I can't answer your question.
I don't install any software that isn't absolutely necessary for my PC's to function.
I can offer you my opinion as to why it may not pick up newer drivers, and that may be due to the program only looking for the latest drivers on your PC's support page.
So, if HP doesn't upload the latest drivers to each model's support page, that may be why it didn't catch it.
I get the latest drivers from HP business notebooks that have the same hardware as the consumer notebooks, and they have a revision history tab on each driver file, which allows me to obtain the latest drivers for particular devices.
It's cumbersome but effective as you can see.
