@Abhilash77, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The message "Preparing Automatic Repair" after upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 typically indicates that Windows encountered a startup issue and is trying to fix it automatically. This can happen due to:
- Corrupted system files during the upgrade.
- Driver incompatibilities or outdated drivers.
- Boot configuration issues.
- Hardware issues, though less common.
Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this:
Let the Repair Process Finish
Sometimes it takes a while. If it’s stuck for more than 30 minutes, proceed to the next steps.
Boot into Advanced Options
- Force shut down the laptop (hold the power button).
- Turn it on and force shut down again when the HP logo appears.
- Repeat this 2–3 times until you see "Preparing Automatic Repair" followed by "Diagnosing your PC" and then Advanced Options.
Use Startup Repair
- Go to Advanced Options > Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Repair.
Use System Restore
If you had System Restore enabled:
- Go to Advanced Options > Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > System Restore.
Uninstall Updates
- Go to Advanced Options > Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Uninstall Updates.
- Try uninstalling the latest quality or feature update.
Boot into Safe Mode
- Go to Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.
- Press 4 or F4 to boot into Safe Mode.
- From there, you can uninstall problematic drivers or updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
