Hi

 

My HP Support Assistant no longer has any updates that I didn't update yet or Update log which I can see what Updates I update already. I tried to update massage many times but no use. I need this update function back.

 

Also I tried to contract technicians but these was no pop up massenger program after HP Support Assistant start.

 

Please Help

Hi there, thanks for getting back to us. One reason for not seeing the update could be because the updates are already installed or maybe your computer is not connected to the network. 

 

Make sure your Internet access is working correctly (that is, you can browse the Internet and view Web pages), and the installed security software (firewall) is not blocking the updates to HP Support Assistant.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries. I have reviewed your post and I understand, there seems to be an issue with the HP Support Assistant software.

 

Don't worry, I'm here to help!  

 

Let's try these steps -

 

1) In the search box, type and open "Uninstall a Program". 

 

2) Look for HP Support Assistant. 

 

3) Right-click to uninstall. 

 

4) Restart the computer. 

 

5) Install the HP Support Assistant from this link.

This is incorrect.  I do remote tech support for a large electronics retailer and  invariably there are still updates available when you go into device manager and update them manually.  I'm seeing this a lot lately and frustrating because it creates more work for us and lengthens our turn around time.

 

What's more frustrating is, you cannot uninstall the current version - the old version will launch even after the current version is installed.

 

Why would HP ship computers with old utility software without a proper fix?
