Hi there, thanks for getting back to us. One reason for not seeing the update could be because the updates are already installed or maybe your computer is not connected to the network.
Make sure your Internet access is working correctly (that is, you can browse the Internet and view Web pages), and the installed security software (firewall) is not blocking the updates to HP Support Assistant.
Keep me posted.

"One reason for not seeing the update could be because the updates are already installed or maybe your computer is not connected to the network. "
This is incorrect. I do remote tech support for a large electronics retailer and invariably there are still updates available when you go into device manager and update them manually. I'm seeing this a lot lately and frustrating because it creates more work for us and lengthens our turn around time.
What's more frustrating is, you cannot uninstall the current version - the old version will launch even after the current version is installed.
Why would HP ship computers with old utility software without a proper fix?
