My Windows 10, version 1903 update would not complete because apparently I need to update RST drivers (??) and Microsoft recommended version 15.9.6.1044 for the drivers.  But when I went to the Intel site to download the drivers--

I saw in the NOTES that "F6 and RAID BIOS configurations need to be performed prior to installation of this driver for proper operation."  I don't know how to do that.  Also, I saw on some other people's posts that after they've downloaded the newer version of the RST drivers, the Microsoft Windows 10 update 1903 still won't complete, maybe because the older version of the drivers is still on the computer(?????)  Any suggestions?

You're very welcome.

Yes, you can do that, or you can download the last file (f6-flpy.zip) and manually update the drive controller driver (which is what I do).

But in order to do that I would need to know some additional information.

Hi:

You can just install the driver as it is.

You only need to do that on PC's running multiple hard drives in a RAID array.

And yes, you may still not be able to upgrade to W10, v1903 after you install a supported IRST driver, but here is a workaround that several forum members indicated worked just fine for them...

Go to: C:\Windows\System32\drivers, find the iaStorA.sys driver and rename it to iaStorA_old.sys

As long as the IRST current driver is before version 15.1.0.1002 and after 15.5.2.1053, you should be fine.

Thank you so much!  I'm not 100% sure of which download to go for, but I'm guessing it's the SetupRST.exe one.

And thanks for the workaround.
