Don't understand the computer system documentation.

Bought a new game from Electronic Arts.com (PGA Tour) a golf game.  It does not fully load, does not play.  EA.com has not helped me.  Think I need an upgraded system.

Hello ArizonaAcres,

Here are some steps you can take to potentially resolve the issue and optimize your gaming experience:

Check System Requirements

  1. Review Game Requirements: First, check the minimum and recommended system requirements for the game on the EA website. Compare these with your current laptop specifications.

Optimize Your Current Setup

  1. Update Drivers:

    • Use the HP Support Assistant to ensure all system drivers, especially for graphics, are up to date. This tool can automatically check and install necessary updates.
    • For graphics drivers, also consider checking the NVIDIA or AMD website for the latest driver updates if your HP laptop is equipped with components from those manufacturers.
  2. Adjust In-game Settings:

    • Lower the graphics settings in the game to reduce performance demands on your laptop. This includes settings for resolution, texture quality, shadows, and other visual effects.

If it is one of the HP OMEN Gaming Laptops

  1. Utilize OMEN Gaming Hub:
    • If your laptop is from the HP OMEN series, use the OMEN Gaming Hub to optimize performance:
      • Switch to Performance Mode or Unleashed Mode to enhance CPU/GPU performance.
      • Adjust fan settings to Max Fan to prevent thermal throttling.

Consider System Upgrades

  1. Hardware Upgrades:
    • If your laptop can be upgraded, consider increasing the RAM or installing an SSD if it's not already equipped with one, as these can significantly impact gaming performance.

Troubleshooting Additional Issues

  1. Check for Background Processes:

    • Close unnecessary background apps that may be consuming system resources while playing the game.

By ensuring your system is optimally configured and all updates are applied, you may improve the loading and playability of your new game.

If you require further assistance please help us with the model of the gaming laptop. With it we can get you the specific changes that can be made to optimise the gaming experience.
