Hi @JKLE,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Whether you are trying to install apps from the Microsoft Store or from another source.
  • If you are signed in with a Microsoft account on your notebook.
  • Any error codes or exact wording of the message you see when the app says it will be downloaded “soon.”

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

 Check Microsoft Store Connection

  1. Open the Microsoft Store app.
  2. Click on your profile icon → ensure you are signed in with your Microsoft account.
  3. Try signing out and back in again.

 Clear Microsoft Store Cache

  1. Press Windows + R, type wsreset.exe, and press Enter.
  2. A blank window will appear for a few seconds, then the Store will reopen automatically.

 Run Windows Troubleshooter

  1. Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  2. Run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter to detect and fix issues.

 Check Windows Update

  1. Go to Settings > Windows Update.
  2. Install any pending updates, especially those related to the Store or system components.

I hope this helps.
