HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg1000 (43F52AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, So I recently bought the HP Pavilion 15-eg1000 laptop and had purchased a type c to hdmi adapter as this model supports DisplayPort 1.4 over usb type c. However, the signal isn't being picked up on either of my monitors that I am using. I made sure the product itself wasn't faulty by testing the adapter on my sister's HP pavilion 14 and it worked immediately. Both Laptops are operating on windows 11 so I don't believe that to be the issue as some have experienced. The adapter is supposed to be a "plug in and play" so no driver updates are necessary. Does anyone know a solution to my problem? Thanks

Not all USB-C ports are the same therefore you need a compatible USB-C to DP or try the following adapter from HP

Thank you for your response, I will try the recommended adapter and provide feedback thereafter.

*Update: Solution above solved the issue for me, just needed the official HP usb-c to hdmi adapter. 👍
