Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I  bought a new laptop and when I set up the computer I misspelled the user id and wrote                        [Personal Information Removed]

I should of course have spelled it [Personal Information Removed]               I can't find how to change my id and reinstall my computer????????

If you can log in to your computer you can add a user with the correct email account and make them an administrator.

Make sure you can log in with the correct name before you delete the old account.  You can do this with win 10 pro.  For home you "add someone else" else no different.

To be safe I would also add a local account with administrator privilege so you can log in without being on-line

Create a local user or administrator account in Windows.
Select Start > Settings > Accounts and then select Family & other users. (In some versions of Windows you'll see Other users .)
Next to Add other user, select Add account .
Select I don't have this person's sign-in information, and on the next page, select Add a user without a Microsoft account.
Enter a user name, password, or password hint—or choose security questions—and then select Next.
