When I am working in Word or OUtlook, as soon as I press ALT, it activates the menu options and I cannot use ALT codes..

Eg: ALT+137 or ALT + 136

How do I disable this option that ALT activates the menu options?

Hi David,

The HP Pavilion x360 does not have a removable battery and it also does not have a Num Lock key. So the hard reset is not possible as described.

Hi @Schalkw3,

Thanks for your response.

To do a hard reset on the HP Pavilion x360 please try these key combinations after powering down your computer and disconnecting all peripherals connected to it.

Press and hold the Power and the Mute buttons at the same time for 15 seconds to try and do a hard reset.

User guides for HP x360: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04582281

The keyboard's mute key can be found on Page 7 of the user manual.

Now for better clarity, and to assist you better please provide me with this information. Please observe very closely.

On the top row of the keyboard do you see numbers printed on keys "U", "I", "O" "P" ?

On the middle row of the keyboard do you find numbers printed on keys "J","K","L", and the minus symbol printed on the key ";"?

Do you find the plus symbol printed on the "?" key?

Please keep me posted. Take care and have a blessed weekend/
