HP Spectre x360 - 13-aw0053na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just bought a HP Spectre x360 - 13-aw0053na for work and the laptop itself is working great. For home I also use a HP Thunderbolt Dock 120W G2 and an old monitor (Acer S241HL).

I share the monitor between my old desktop (HP Pavilion 550-276na) and the laptop via a HDMI switch. Problem I have is that the monitor works with the laptop when I start up, but if I switch to my desktop. I find that when I switch back I just have a black screen. When I open my laptop, it is working fine, but I cannot use the monitor unless I restart my laptop.

Is there anyway that I can switch between laptop and desktop on my monitor without having to restart my laptop?

@Praveen196, thanks for the response, but I had already updated my machine.

Initially I could not get my monitor to work, so I have also updated the firmware of the G2 dock. For some reason the firmware update doesn't always stay, so I have to redo the update after shut down.

The problem I believe is related to my G2 dock, as everything work ok when connect via my wife's travel dock. Is my G2 dock faulty? or do I need to do some set up that I missed?

Thanks
