Microsoft Windows 11

Can I use my pavilion 15eg-1053cl plugged in while it's fully charged.Because I read somewhere that recharging laptop reduces the battery life and you should use it plugged in when charging source is near.Does using it plugged in cause any harm?

Hi:

On today's notebooks with smart chargers and smart batteries, it is OK to leave the notebook plugged in when fully charged most of the time.

I don't recommend you leave it plugged in and fully charged 100% of the time though because the internal battery can in some instances swell up.

What I usually do is once a month, I unplug the notebook from AC power and run it off the battery until the low battery warning comes on.

Then I connect it back up to the charger.

Here are some links regarding how to get the best life out of your notebook's battery...
