Microsoft Windows 11

I just purchased an HP Victus 16 laptop and I want to swap the Ctrl and Fn keys.

My work Zbook 15 has a BIOS option to swap the two keys but the Victus BIOS does not seem to have this option. Is this possible? I really hope so because it is going to be a nightmare to have two HP laptops with these keys in opposite spots.

Hi @kolath,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are looking for information related to your Laptop.

The changes you are looking for is a hardware restriction on the consumer models.

Unfortunately, there are no options to change settings on the BIOS for consumer units.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!

I hope this helps.

That is not a helpful response... aren't all laptops "consumer"? Or does the option exist in business laptops only?

How do we provide feedback about the BIOS settings that are available? That is certainly something that HP *could* implement in a future BIOS update.
