i HAVE A NEW HP LAP TOP. I WANT TO INSTALL ADOBE CLOUD. THE COMPUTER IS IN SAFE MODE AND WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO INSTALL ANYTHING UNLESS I REMOVE THE SAFE MODE. IF REMOVED IT CAN NEVER BE PLACED BACK IN SAFE MODE. DOE THAT VOID THE WARRENTY?

Hi @JOURNEYWEST,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

Running your laptop in Safe Mode restricts many features, including the ability to install programs like Adobe Creative Cloud. However, switching out of Safe Mode does not void the warranty on your HP laptop. Here's what you need to do:

Steps to Exit Safe Mode and Install Adobe Cloud:

Restart the Laptop Normally:

  • Press Windows + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
  • Go to the Boot tab.
  • Uncheck Safe boot.
  • Click OK and restart your laptop.

Install Adobe Creative Cloud:

  • Once in normal mode, download Adobe Creative Cloud from Adobe's official website.
  • Run the installer and follow the instructions.

Re-Enable Safe Mode (Optional):

  • If you want the option to use Safe Mode in the future, simply use the same method as above and check Safe boot in the msconfig menu.

Important Notes:

  • Safe Mode Limitation: Safe Mode is a diagnostic tool, not meant for regular use.
  • Warranty: Exiting Safe Mode or toggling it on/off will not affect your laptop's warranty.
  • Issues Persist? If your laptop keeps booting into Safe Mode after restarting:
    • Perform a Startup Repair via the Recovery Environment.
    • Contact HP Support if the issue is hardware-related.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a great day ahead!
