🔔Attention HP Customers! Beware of the Unbelievable Treatment by HP's Risk Free Care Pack Rebate Program 🔔

Dear HP Community,

I hope this post reaches you well, as I feel compelled to share a shocking experience I've had with HP's Risk Free Care Pack Rebate program. My story serves as a warning to fellow customers about what can only be described as a rebate scam, accompanied by relentless and harassing customer service tactics.

Despite diligently following all the requirements and submitting all necessary documentation, I find myself empty-handed, denied the rebate promised by the Risk Free Care Pack program. The frustration doesn't end there; I have been subjected to a series of harassing phone calls, redirected over and over through a convoluted call center maze, only to be met with incompetence and indifference.

Furthermore, my attempts to resolve this issue through HP Support have proven fruitless. After contacting HP Customer Service, I was met with unclear instructions and a lack of support. Despite submitting the Risk Free Care Pack Rebate form and emailing [content removed] in December 2023, I received no acknowledgment or refund for my efforts.

My attempts to reach out via phone were equally disheartening. I was redirected numerous times, from [content removed] to [content removed], and finally to [content removed] (not allowing to post actual number), the supposed direct number for the HP Care Pack Rebate team. However, no one picked up despite multiple attempts. Even after being instructed to use a transfer code (508), there was no option to enter it, and my calls went unanswered.

To add insult to injury, my inquiries via email to [content removed] have gone unanswered, further highlighting the lack of accountability and disregard for customer satisfaction.

To my fellow HP users, be cautious and vigilant when dealing with rebate programs and customer service. Share your experiences, and let's encourage HP to prioritize ethical business practices and customer satisfaction.

I eagerly await a response from HP to address and resolve this matter.

Sincerely
Frustrated HP User

Hi @MaverickCooper,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you've had a really tough time with HP's Risk Free Care Pack Rebate program, and I can imagine how frustrating and disappointing this experience must be. Facing difficulties in obtaining promised rebates and navigating customer service can be incredibly disheartening, especially when you've met all the requirements and made multiple attempts to resolve the issue.

If no service event occurs after the purchase date of the Care Pack, you are allowed to claim a rebate for the price of your Care Pack. Please refer to your Risk-Free rebate form at the time of purchase as the program dates and conditions may have changed.

Hello Rachel571,

I have submitted the required details in a private message to you. Please have a look and escalate the issue. It has been more than 2 and a half months since I submitted the Rebate form along with the required documents and there's no update, no acknowledgement of the rebate for request. Also, there's no visibility of the request being processed. Such a pathetic service and I totally understand this is a way to harass the customers so that they give up claiming the Care Pack rebate.

Thanks

Wondering if you ever got the issue resolved.  I, too, have been given the *EXACT* same runaround when it comes to getting a Care Pack rebate.  I have made numerous calls to support (have been given 5 different phone numbers to call) and either received calls that get forwarded to nowhere and hung up on, or support calls that say they are 'working on the problem'

I currently have a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about this, but I doubt it will give any traction.

I have an open case about this with no active resolution.  Only a promise to call back 'when an update happens'.

My original fully filled out and correct documentation was submitted Jan, 11 2024.

Hopefully more people will speak out about this type of behavior which looks to be designed to keep people from receiving rebates.
