I have just checked my warranty online and it has come up that my warranty started on May 17th 2017, but have only just purchased the laptop on March 2018 - Is their a reason why this is like this?
As only showing 5 months remainging but is a brand new laptop.
also something else which is a slight annoyance, is the intel and nvidia sticker on the laptop are not put on stright, i normally wouldnt moan but decided to spend more on a laptop and supprised me it would be sent out like this
But any advise on the warranty situation would be great
thank you

Initial warranty date is set by manufactured date. If the laptop is not sold for 6 months or longer as in this case- HP has no way of knowing until you register for warranty and submit proof of purchase date.
