You need to read the reviews and get one that has the smallest amount of one star reviews. Check the date of the review as recent windows 11 updates may have caused problems. 24H2 was released in Oct 2024 so look for review from November or later.
The most common complaint is failing frequently and followed by having to rescan your finger every few weeks.
Do not get one that has no driver.
Apple: They do not work in Mac OS but the Apple Watch can be used most of the time.
