Elitebook 800 G2 TWR

I'm trying to rollout HP Support Assistant to all of our HP devices across our LAN. We have a mixture of devices, but mostly Elitebook 800 G2 TWR PC's and Elitebook notebooks.

I am not at all sure you can do that - HP Support Assistant is not built for "silent" install, particularly if you run across a computer that wants the "application" version of the HP Support Assistant.

HP Support Assistant is primarily a consumer based software (or, in the case of some new hardware, an application from the Windows Store).  It is meant to be installed locally and run on that local installation.

On the other hand, if you are in need of deployment software for business class machines, there is a tool crafted and built for the job:  HP System Software Manager (HP SSM)

Additionally, there is a business class software for managing a single system:  HP Image Assistant (HPIA)

Older individual business class systems can still make use of SDM: Softpaq Download Manager

These are not plug and play - the configurations are a bit more complicated.

In other words, there is a learning curve.

That said, these are perfect tools for a managed work-group in an Enterprise (work) environment.

SDM (at this writing) still supports many business class systems manufactured prior to the software's EOL (End of Life) announcement.

The SDM software is no longer listed in Client Management Solutions.
