Hi, to program an fpga, I use the program called Zadig to change the drivers. However, I mistakenly changed my webcam drivers with it and now my webcam is unusable. How do i return back to a working driver? It shows under com ports in device manager now.

Hi @batu4,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
To restore your webcam to a working state on your OMEN Laptop - 15-Ek0002nt, you can follow these steps to roll back to a previous driver or reinstall the original driver:
Method 1: Roll Back Driver
Open Device Manager:
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager from the menu.
Find the Webcam:
- In the Device Manager window, expand the "Cameras" or "Imaging devices" section.
- Locate your webcam device. It might be named something like "Integrated Camera" or similar.
Roll Back Driver:
- Right-click on your webcam device and select "Properties."
- Go to the "Driver" tab.
- Click on "Roll Back Driver." If this option is available, Windows will revert to the previously installed driver.
Restart Your Computer:
- Restart your laptop to ensure the changes take effect.
Method 2: Reinstall Original Driver
If rolling back the driver is not an option or doesn't work, you can reinstall the original driver:
Uninstall the Current Driver:
- In Device Manager, right-click on your webcam device and select "Uninstall device."
- Check the box that says "Delete the driver software for this device," then click "Uninstall."
Restart Your Computer:
- Restart your laptop. Windows should attempt to reinstall the default driver automatically.
Download and Install the Original Driver:
- If Windows does not automatically reinstall the driver or if the automatic driver does not work correctly, you can download the original driver from the HP support website.
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads.
- Enter your laptop model (OMEN Laptop - 15-Ek0002nt) and navigate to the drivers section.
- Download the webcam driver and install it by following the on-screen instructions.
Method 3: Update Driver Using Windows Update
- Check for Windows Updates:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Click on "Check for updates." Windows might find and install the appropriate driver for your webcam.
Method 4: Use HP Recovery Manager
If the above methods don't work, you can use the HP Recovery Manager to reinstall the driver:
Open HP Recovery Manager:
- Type HP Recovery Manager in the Windows search bar and open it.
Reinstall Drivers and Applications:
- In HP Recovery Manager, select "Reinstall drivers and/or applications."
- Find the webcam driver in the list and follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall it.
By following these steps, you should be able to restore your webcam to a working state on your OMEN Laptop - 15-Ek0002nt. If you continue to experience issues, consider contacting HP phone support for further assistance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
