Under the MyRig->Performance Control tab in the Omen Gaming Hub, there's an option to select Balanced or Performance. What exactly does this do?

Why is it a manual toggle and not something I can set depending on the application I'm using?  I already have the GPU used set to auto in both the Omen Gaming Hub and Nvidia Control Panel so that it uses integrated graphics when I'm surfing the web and it switches over to the discrete graphics card when gaming. I also have Omen Boost turned on for gaming.

So does this setting do something different? If not, why is it even there?

*Edit: After searching the help documents I have answered my own question. It's a manual toggle for power supply and fan speed, and the 'Balanced' option is basically Auto whereas 'Performance' is a manual override. https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05387497
