I'm having an issue where my laptop screen turns off (though the power button remains lit up) almost immediately after unplugging. I'm not sure if the problem is with my laptop's internal battery or not. I'm getting confusing results when I run the power component tests in the F2 startup menu.
The AC adapter test passed. But in the Battery Check and System Fast Test, I got the following messages:
Battery Check : Primary - Unknown (FF)
Primary: Logic State - Not Available (FF), Charge State - Not Available
Additionally, under "Battery Details," I got the message "Primary Battery - Not Installed"
Does anyone know what these messages mean? And do they have anything to do with my screen shutting off when my battery is unplugged?

That simply means it can't find the battery even physically there, the battery is dead. Machine does not have power to run when unplugged. You need new battery.
Regards.
