What is the purpose for HP Orbit update?

I recently received a notice for 4 updates that supposedly need to be installed, and I want to know the value of these updates, and whether or not I can decline wisely?

It's an HP Envy x 360 mb convertible .  These 4 updates are listed as being necessary:

HP Orbit             HP Notebook System BIOS Update            HP Recovery Manager Update         HP Sure Connect

Since I have had bad experiences agreeing to any updates suggested, I want to know the value of these, and whether or not I can safely decline them?

HP Orbit bridges your phone, computer, and tablet to get things done while staying connected. The HP Orbit Canvas feature allows you to transfer files to your computer and mobile phone over your Wi-Fi network or LAN. HP Orbit uses HP Support Assistant to deliver updated versions. 

Updating the BIOS is recommended as standard maintenance of the computer. It can also help resolve the following issues:

• An available BIOS update resolves a specific issue or improves computer performance.
• The current BIOS does not support a hardware component or a Windows upgrade.
• HP support recommends installing a specific BIOS update.

HP Recovery Manager will help you to re-install or restore the operating system. For more information, please refer to this document. 

HP Sure Connect (HP Wireless Rescue Tool) automatically recovers the driver of a communications device that has stopped functioning.
