I need to replace the charger for this laptop because the pokey thing that goes into the laptop got bent. In looking at options, I see different voltage ratings for HP chargers and don’t know which to select.
NOTE: There is no label on the bottom of the laptop. The tags on the existing charger are illegible. I need another way to specify which charger is suitable.
Please advise.

Below is the link to the parts list for your notebook.
The power adapter part number and description is:
741727-001 | Smart AC power adapter (45 watt) - 4.5mm barrel connector, non-power factor correcting (NPFC) - Requires 3-wire AC power cord with C5 connector |
What I recommend you do is to go on eBay search by the HP part number and find a used but tested and working genuine HP power adapter. Those normally come with the power cords that go from the wall socket to the adapter which are sold separately if you can order a new charger from HP.
If you want to buy a new power adapter from HP and the power cord that goes from the wall socket to your broken adapter is still good, you can order it below. $83.17. That is why I recommended eBay.
