When I start up my Windows 11 laptop, I get an error message - SecurityHealthSystray.exe - Bad Image with an error status code 0x000012f
I've tried to resolve using System File Checker, DISM and Windows Update but still pops up on restart. Appreciate any ideas.

Hi @AMc909090,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the error on the HP Spectre x360 16-inch laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Reinstall Windows Security:
- Open Settings and go to Apps > Installed apps, search for Windows Security.
- Try to uninstall and then reinstall if possible. If you cannot uninstall, skip to the next step.
Perform a Clean Boot:
- Press Windows + R keys and type msconfig, and hit Enter.
- Go to Services, check Hide all Microsoft services, then click Disable all.
- Go to Startup tab and click Open Task Manager. Disable all startup items.
- Restart the computer and check if the issue persists. This will help identify if any third-party applications are causing the issue.
Update or Reinstall Display Drivers:
- One common cause for Bad Image errors can be corrupted drivers. To update or reinstall your drivers:
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters.
- Right-click your graphics card and select Update driver. Follow the steps to update the driver.
- If the error persists, try Uninstall device and then restart your laptop. Windows will automatically reinstall the driver.
Check for Malware:
- Sometimes malware can interfere with system files. Run a thorough malware scan using Windows Security or a trusted antivirus software.
Repair System Files:
- You mentioned trying System File Checker and DISM. Ensure you're running these commands correctly:
- System File Checker: Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run sfc /scannow.
- DISM: Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth.
- After running these, restart your computer even if it shows no issues.
Check Event Viewer:
- Open Event Viewer and navigate to Windows Logs > System.
- Look for errors around the time of the SecurityHealthSystray.exe error. This can give more context to what is happening.
I hope this helps.
