Bought the \Poly Studio Voyager 5200 Series: Head Set.  It says must manually update firmware and software.  I have the app installed on my Windows Dell computer and attached the case to the USB port as told t do online. The earpiece fits in the case.  However, instructions did not say whether the earpiece should be turned on or not.  Normally just stays in the case turned off and is fully charged with 3 dots not attached to computer as long as charge holds.  Board to choose did not exactly give Poly category.  But I was instructed to contact HP.

Hello @Kitty_Paws-4, Welcome to the HP Poly Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the Poly Voyager 5200.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you and are glad we could help work toward a resolution. We hope our support has been valuable.

During firmware updates for the Voyager 5200 series:

  • The headset should remain placed inside the charging case
  • There is no need to manually turn the headset ON

When the case is connected to the computer via USB and detected by HP Poly Studio Application - HP Poly Lens App – Manage Your Devices and Improve Communication with Ease | HP® India

  • The system will automatically communicate with both the case and the headset
  • The headset will power on as needed internally to complete the update

Have a great day!
