15-ba079dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

There's 5 different options to choose from and they're all different. Carrizo-L, (HD), R5?

My laptop model is 15-ba079dx, just trying to get the correct one because, the HP Support Assistant tool isn't showing any driver at all.

Thanks in advance!

Hi:

If you want the HP driver, I would use this one because it is the latest driver HP has...

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp82001-82500/sp82032.exe

Here are the release notes:

https://support.hp.com/soar-attachment/928/col81645-ob-198807-1-ob-198807-1_sp82032_releasedoc.html

If it was my notebook, I would be trying the latest driver directly from AMD, since the HP driver is almost 2 years old.

First one on the page.  Install and restart the PC.

Thanks for the response.

Would it be wise to install the OEM driver first and then update through AMD or should I just go with AMD's website first overall?

I figured the OEM drivers would have a specific set of drivers in the package necessary for the APU that I am using.

Thanks.

You're very welcome.

I would go straight for the AMD driver on the AMD website.

Create a system restore point first, so you can go back to the current driver in case the latest driver from the AMD website does not work to your expectations.

I don't see why it wouldn't though.
