HP 14 inch Laptop PC 14-ep0000 (730S3AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I bought a new HP laptop a a few months ago and I can't access Ticketmaster to buy tickets. I get this message:

"Your Session Has Been Suspended
Something about your browsing behavior or network made us think you were a bot.
What can I do to resolve this?

Try again from a different device or a different location
Ensure you have enabled JavaScript in your web browser
Remove any third party browser plugins that may be running"

I've enabled JavaScript and don't have any unusual plugins (whatever came with the laptop plus if McAffee added anything). I can access Ticketmaster from my 8 year old Dell laptop no problem, very disappointing with the new HP.

Hi @RSIRL,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When encountering issues with accessing Ticketmaster on your new HP laptop, while your older Dell laptop works fine, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the issue.

Clear Browser Cache and Cookies:

  • Open your browser settings.
  • Find the option to clear browsing data.
  • Select the option to clear cache and cookies.
  • Restart the browser and try accessing Ticketmaster again.

Disable or Update Browser Extensions:

  • Even if you don’t have unusual plugins, sometimes default or security-related extensions can interfere.
  • Open your browser settings and go to the extensions or add-ons section.
  • Disable all extensions temporarily and check if you can access Ticketmaster.
  • If this works, enable the extensions one by one to identify the culprit.

Check Network Settings:

  • Ensure your network settings are standard and not using any proxy servers that might be flagged as suspicious by Ticketmaster.
  • Open your network settings and ensure no proxy is set up.
  • If you are using a VPN, try disabling it and check access again.

Update Your Browser:

  • Make sure your browser is up-to-date as some websites may block outdated browsers.
  • Go to your browser’s settings or help section to check for updates.

Try a Different Browser:

  • Sometimes, simply switching browsers can resolve the issue.
  • If you are using Chrome, try Firefox, Edge, or another browser.

Check Your Security Software:

  • McAfee or other security software might be blocking Ticketmaster.
  • Temporarily disable McAfee to see if it resolves the issue.
  • If this works, add Ticketmaster to McAfee’s whitelist.

Adjust Privacy and Security Settings:

  • In your browser’s settings, make sure the privacy and security settings are not too restrictive.
  • Allow cookies and site data for Ticketmaster.

Reset Browser Settings:

  • As a last resort, you can reset your browser settings to default.
  • This option is usually found in the advanced settings section of your browser.

Here is a step-by-step example for clearing cache and cookies in Google Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome and click on the three dots in the upper right corner.
  2. Go to “More tools” > “Clear browsing data”.
  3. In the pop-up window, select “All time” for the time range.
  4. Check “Cookies and other site data” and “Cached images and files”.
  5. Click on “Clear data”.

For disabling extensions:

  1. Open Chrome and click on the three dots in the upper right corner.
  2. Go to “More tools” > “Extensions”.
  3. Toggle off all extensions.
  4. Try accessing Ticketmaster again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
