@BigAl03,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

It sounds like something is triggering your browser to open automatically. A few things you can try:

  1. Startup apps → Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc, go to the Startup tab, and disable anything suspicious that might be launching the browser.

  2. Browser settings → Check if Bing or HP pages are set as your browser's startup/home pages and change them if you prefer.

  3. Remove Bing from your system

    • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps.

    • Look for anything named Bing (e.g. "Bing News", "Bing Search", or "Bing Wallpaper").

    • Select it and click Uninstall.

    • If you only want to remove Bing from your browser, open the browser settings, go to Search engine, and switch to Google, MS Edge, DuckDuckGo, or another provider.

  4. Scheduled tasks → Open Task Scheduler and check if anything is set to launch your browser repeatedly.

  5. Malware scan → Run Windows Security (or another antivirus) to rule out adware.

This isn't related to your warranty status -it's a software/configuration issue. Once Bing or the trigger app is removed/disabled, the repeated pop-ups should stop!

Kind Regards,
