Solved!

Windows 10 upgrade in place

HP Recommended
elitebook 840 g2
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
Will upgrading to windows 10 pro from windows 7 pro require and changes in the HP_Recovery partition and / or the HP_Tools partition. Are these partitions even needed? Just want to understand any issues with these 2 partitions that might come up during the upgrade process before I start the upgrade process.

Upgrading to Windows 10, those partitions will be useless. You can totally delete them after the upgrade.
