HP Pavilion 15-n258tx Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Pavilion 15-n258tx Notebook PC and was using windows 10 32 bit os but wanted to see if my laptop could run 64 bit windows 10 os. So just was curious of if my hardware is compatible with 64 bit windows 10 os.

You have a 64 bit CPU

Parts list for your notebook is here

CPU seems to be i5-4200U

There may be a problem getting 64 bit drivers for windows.   Possibly the following may work

I recommend you swap out the hard drive for an SSD and add a second stick of memory to get to 8gb

You can install windows 10 64 bit using an ISO image and a 16gb Flash drive.   it is a free activation.  upgrade from 32 too 64 requires a clean install so you need to backup important documents and must re-activate any licensed software.
