I've installed Windows 7 as I prefer it to Windows 10 and I have legacy software. I was suprised to find no drivers whatsoever, and nothing works on Windows 7 (no usb, no lan, no wifi) (although, everything works if I boot with a live linux usb).
Does anyone know which drivers I need? I have tried several already, but none have worked to date. Does anyone know if I can get the windows 7 drivers direct from the manufacturers of the components if HP doesn't have them? Where can I find a list of components for this notebook (other than googling hardware IDs)?
Thank you.

Hi,
Actually you have no choice with Windows for your machine, only Windows 10. Have you read the following articles ?

Hi Banhlen,
I hadn't read those articles, but thank you for linking them. I can't say I'm surprised that Microsoft are pushing through Windows 10, but I am disappointed that they aren't offering any support to Windows 7 users. Personally, I use Linux every day anyway, but it's my Uncle's laptop and he wants Windows 7 only. But, after reading about Windows 7 not supporting the USB hardware, I guess it's going to have to be Windows 10.
Thank you,
Ben
