Hello,

Does  HP ENVY 17-j110ea BIOS have an option to install Windows from a USB Flash Drive or its too old for it?

I just couldn't find it. Maybe Im too rookie for it 😄

Hi:

 

Go into the BIOS (F10), enable Legacy mode and disable secure boot.

 

See this link for the settings to change.

Then the EFI USB flash drive should show up in the F9 boot options menu.

 

Boot from the EFI USB flash drive and not the Legacy one, so you can enable secure boot again.

Hi:

 

You should be able to.

 

To boot from a USB flash drive, have your W10 USB installer in a USB port.

 

Turn on or restart the PC.

 

Immediately press/tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.

 

Select the F9 boot options menu and from that, select the USB flash drive and press the Enter key.

 

The PC should boot from the flash drive.
