I have my taskbar set to "auto hide the taskbar" and until recently this was working fine. However, in the last few days it stopped popping up when I move my mouse to the bottom of the screen if any window is covering the taskbar. The only way I can make it work normally is by opening the Windows Task Manager (CTRL + SHIFT + ESC) and closing all the HP.OMEN processes (such as OMEN Gaming Hub, HP.OMEN.SystemOptimizer, HP.OMEN.Overlay.OverlayHelper and OMENInstallMonitor etc.).
The problem exists even if I close the HP Gaming Hub if there are any of the associated processes mentioned above still running.
Is this a new bug and is there another way to fix it without having to close or the HP Omen processes?

Please follow the instructions to try to resolve your issue:
Restart Windows Explorer:
- Press to open Task Manager.CTRL + SHIFT + ESC
- Find "Windows Explorer" in the list of processes.
- Right-click on "Windows Explorer" and select "Restart".
Check Taskbar Settings:
- Right-click on the taskbar and select "Taskbar settings".
- Ensure that "Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode" is toggled on.
- Save the settings and see if the issue persists.
Update or Reinstall OMEN Gaming Hub and Related Software:
- Go to the official HP website and check for any updates for OMEN Gaming Hub and related software.
- If an update is available, install it. If not, consider reinstalling the software.
Disable Overlays Temporarily:
- Open OMEN Gaming Hub.
- Navigate to settings and look for options related to overlays or system optimizations.
- Disable these settings temporarily to see if it resolves the taskbar issue.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Press to open Settings.Windows + I
- Go to "Update & Security" -> "Windows Update".
- Check for updates and install any pending updates.
Perform a Clean Boot:
- Press , type , and press Enter.Windows + Rmsconfig
- Go to the "Services" tab.
- Check "Hide all Microsoft services" and then disable all other services.
- Go to the "Startup" tab and click "Open Task Manager".
- Disable all startup items.
- Restart your computer and check if the taskbar issue persists.
If the problem persists after performing these steps, it might be worth contacting HP support for further assistance or exploring more detailed troubleshooting specific to OMEN software.
I hope the above is helpful
