HI. I have an old HP mini; that runs windows XP.. i do not remember my password and i need to get on to it... to got some important documents... i have tried the f11 thing and it doesnt work.. it loads normally.. i know how to use command promt to activate the admin account.. how ever i cant get to command prompt at all... Please help me

i solved the issue.. without CMD .. if anyone else has this issue the solution is to hold or press repeatedly the wndows icon key the moment you turn on your computer.. it may take a few tries... This will bring up the "faild to start properly" or the menu you get; when you have to force shutdown your computer, because it froze... use the arrow keys to highlight "safemode with networking" press enter.. a menu will pop up telling you about the mode your in.. just press enter or click confirm. then LOG INTO ADMISTRATOR (IT WILL BE A OPTION).. then simply go to start menu.. go to control panal.. go to users & accounts... click the account you cant log into.. and change the password.. then shut down and reboot your computer and log in with the new password.
